About us - Mindful & Fit
Mindful and Fit is an organization that aims to help youth, adults and families reach their full potential through mindful physical exercise. Through games, challenging courses and structured exercise programs, each person will develop strength, flexibility and endurance as well as boost their self-confidence.
Engaging in exercise and healthy eating is associated with less behavior problems (for example, refusing to follow rules, fighting, etc.) as well as less emotional problems (for example, anxiety, depression, etc.). It is also shown to increase self-esteem, suggesting that there may be large benefits to engaging in health-related behaviors during childhood (Archer & Garcia, 2014) and adolescence (Ong, Wickramaratne, Tang, & Weissmann, 2006; Stathopoulou, Power, Berry, Smits, & Otto, 2006).
At Mindful and Fit, we base our approach on research to ensure that the skills taught are effective and transferable to everyday life. We accomplish this in an exciting, fun and welcoming environment.
